Real people, at your desk, when IT goes wrong
Remote support fixes a lot: password resets, email problems, software errors. But some problems need someone in the room. A laptop won’t power on. A printer jams every morning. The meeting room screen won’t connect. A new starter needs a desk, laptop, phone and accounts ready by 9 am. A cable has been knocked out of the rack and half the office is offline.
For these moments you need an engineer on site, quickly, who knows your setup. Hiring a full-time IT person is one option, but it is slow, expensive and leaves you exposed when that person is on leave or resigns. Calling a random technician each time is unpredictable and nobody builds up knowledge of your systems.
ITConnect provides IT support in Dubai through onsite engineers backed by our remote helpdesk. Choose on-demand visits when something breaks, scheduled support days each week, or a full-time resident engineer based at your office, employed and managed by us. In every case, your engineer has the support of our wider team of network, server and security specialists.

What is IT support?
IT support is the help businesses get to keep their computers, networks, software and user accounts working. It ranges from fixing problems, known as break-fix support, to preventing them through maintenance and monitoring, and to planning, such as setting up new staff and upgrading systems. IT support is usually organised in levels: Level 1 handles common requests such as passwords and basic troubleshooting; Level 2 handles more complex device, network and software issues; Level 3 involves specialists for servers, networks and security. ITConnect covers all three levels.
What is onsite IT support?
Onsite support means an engineer physically visits your office to solve problems that can’t be fixed remotely, such as hardware failures, cabling, printers and new equipment, or to do hands-on work like setting up desks and meeting rooms. The best IT support combines both: remote support for speed, and onsite engineers for everything that needs hands and eyes.
Service levels
| Priority | Example | Onsite response |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | Office offline, server down | Same day, priority |
| High | Several users affected | Same day |
| Normal | One user or device | Next visit / next day |
| Request | New starter, change | Scheduled |
A typical month of IT support
In a typical month for a 50-person office, our engineers handle new starter and leaver setups, laptop repairs and replacements, printer and scanner problems, Wi-Fi and network issues, Microsoft 365 and Teams questions, password and multi-factor resets, meeting room problems, software installations, warranty claims, and small projects such as moving desks or setting up a new room. Every request is logged, so at the end of the month you see exactly what was done and where recurring problems need a permanent fix.
Supporting hybrid and remote staff
Many teams now split their time between the office and home. Our support covers staff wherever they work: remote support for home-based staff, secure laptop setup with device management, VPN or zero-trust access to company systems, and courier swaps for faulty laptops. Your onsite engineer handles the office, and our helpdesk supports everyone else.

How to choose an IT support company in Dubai
Ask for written response times for both remote and onsite support. Check whether the same engineer will usually attend, so they learn your systems. Make sure there’s cover during holidays and sickness. Ask what is included and what is charged extra. Ask for monthly reporting, so you can see the value. And check that the company has specialists for networks, servers and security, not just desktop support.
Onsite IT Engineer questions, answered
What is IT support?
Help keeping your computers, network, software and accounts working, from fixing problems to setting up new staff and planning upgrades.
What is onsite support?
An engineer visiting your office to fix hardware, network or setup issues that can’t be solved remotely.
Why choose a resident engineer instead of hiring?
There’s no recruitment, visa or training to manage, you get cover during leave and sickness, and your engineer has a specialist team behind them.
How is this different from IT AMC?
An AMC is a maintenance contract for your equipment. Onsite engineers provide people-based support. Many clients combine both.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Dubai, plus Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman.
Can we start with on-demand visits and upgrade later?
Yes. Many clients start with visits, then move to scheduled days or a resident engineer as they grow.
What if we're not happy with the engineer?
We’ll replace them. Because the engineer is our employee, changing is simple and doesn’t disrupt your support.
Do you support Macs and mixed environments?
Yes. Our engineers support Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Is there a minimum contract?
On-demand visits have no minimum. Scheduled days and resident engineers usually run on twelve-month contracts.
How quickly can a resident engineer start?
Often within two to four weeks, depending on the skills required and site access requirements.
