Stop finding out about outages from your staff
In most offices, the first sign of a network problem is a complaint: “The internet is down”, “The shared drive won’t open”, “The call keeps freezing”. By then the problem has already cost time, and someone has to start investigating from scratch.
Network monitoring turns that around. Every minute, monitoring software checks your firewall, switches, access points, servers and internet lines. It measures availability, bandwidth, errors, temperature and dozens of other signals. When something looks wrong, such as a line dropping packets, a switch port flapping or a firewall running out of memory, our engineers are alerted immediately, often before users notice anything.
Managed network services go a step further. As well as watching, we manage the network for you: keeping firmware up to date, reviewing firewall rules, backing up configurations, planning capacity and fixing problems remotely. You get the benefits of a network operations team without hiring one.

What you get
Real-time monitoring
Uptime, response time, bandwidth, errors and device health checked every minute, for every critical device and internet line.
Instant alerts to our engineers
Problems trigger alerts to our team with clear thresholds, so the right engineer responds quickly. You are informed with a plain-English update.
Patch and firmware management
Security updates and firmware upgrades are tested and applied during agreed maintenance windows, outside your working hours.
Firewall management
Rules reviewed regularly, unused rules removed, threats and blocked attacks logged, and changes recorded.
Configuration backups
Every device’s configuration is backed up automatically. If a device fails, the replacement can be restored in minutes.
Monthly health report
Uptime, incidents, bandwidth trends, devices nearing end of support and our recommendations.
What is network monitoring?
Network monitoring is the continuous checking of network devices and connections to detect outages, slowdowns and errors. Monitoring tools collect data from devices using standard methods such as SNMP, flow data and simple availability checks, then show it on dashboards and raise alerts when values cross a threshold.
Good monitoring answers three questions at any moment: Is everything up? Is anything getting worse? And what changed? It shows whether a slowdown is caused by your internet provider, a busy link, a failing device or a single computer using too much bandwidth. Without monitoring, engineers have to guess.
What is network management?
Network management is keeping the network healthy over time. Monitoring tells you what is happening; management is what you do about it. It includes configuration, security policy, updates, capacity planning, documentation and fixing problems. A managed network service combines both: our tools watch your network continuously, and our engineers act on what they see.
What we monitor on your network
| Area | What we check |
|---|---|
| Internet lines | Availability, speed, latency, packet loss, failover status |
| Firewall | CPU, memory, sessions, VPN tunnels, security events, licence expiry |
| Switches | Port status, errors, bandwidth, power, temperature |
| Wi-Fi | Access point status, connected clients, interference |
| Servers | Availability, disk space, CPU, memory, key services |
| Backups & UPS | Backup job results, UPS battery and load |
Problems monitoring catches before they cause downtime
A failing internet line
Rising packet loss on one line often appears hours before it fails completely. We switch traffic or raise a ticket with the provider early.
A switch port flapping
A damaged cable or faulty device can cause a port to go up and down repeatedly, slowing the whole network. Monitoring pinpoints the exact port.
Disks filling up
Servers and storage that run out of space stop working suddenly. Alerts at 80% give you time to act.
Expiring licences
Firewall security subscriptions and support contracts expire quietly. We warn you weeks in advance.
Overheating equipment
High temperatures in a comms cupboard shorten the life of every device. Temperature alerts protect your hardware.
Unusual traffic
A sudden spike in outbound traffic can indicate a compromised device. We investigate and contain it.
Response priorities
| Priority | Example |
|---|---|
| P1 Critical | Whole site offline |
| P2 High | One internet line down, failover active |
| P3 Normal | Single access point offline |
| P4 Low | Firmware recommendation |
Monitoring vs doing it in-house
Building in-house monitoring means buying tools, configuring them, and having someone watching alerts at night and at weekends. For most small and mid-size businesses that isn’t practical. A managed service gives you the tools, the expertise and the 24/7 cover for a predictable monthly fee, and works alongside your existing IT person if you have one.
How onboarding works
-
Audit
We list every network device, check its health and support status, and document the current design.
-
Deploy monitoring
A small collector is installed on your network, or devices report to our cloud platform securely.
-
Set thresholds
We agree what counts as a problem for your business and who gets notified.
-
Monitor and manage
Continuous monitoring, maintenance windows for updates and a monthly review.
Not sure what you need?
We’ll audit your IT for free and tell you.
Network monitoring tools we use
We use proven enterprise tools rather than building our own, so you’re never locked in. These include PRTG and Zabbix for broad monitoring, vendor dashboards such as Cisco Meraki, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, and flow analysis to see which applications use your bandwidth. You get read-only access to your dashboard and reports.

Who it’s for
Businesses where downtime costs money: logistics companies with warehouses running scanners, clinics with appointment and patient systems, retailers with POS across several branches, and any office relying on cloud apps and video calls. It’s also ideal for companies with an in-house IT person who needs out-of-hours cover.
Case study
A retailer with several branches deployed our monitoring across all sites. Internet failures are now detected within minutes and failover is confirmed automatically.
How to choose a managed network provider
Ask what is monitored and how often, who receives alerts and at what hours, what the response time is for each priority level, whether firmware updates are included, and whether you can see the dashboards yourself. Make sure the provider documents changes and gives you configuration backups you own.
Network Monitoring questions, answered
What is network monitoring?
Continuously checking network devices and connections for outages, slowdowns and errors, with alerts when something goes wrong.
What is network management?
Keeping the network healthy over time through configuration, updates, security rules, capacity planning and fixes.
What network monitoring tools do you use?
Enterprise tools such as PRTG and Zabbix, plus vendor dashboards like Meraki and FortiAnalyzer. You get access to reports.
Do you need to replace our equipment?
No. We monitor most business-grade equipment. Consumer routers usually can’t be monitored properly and may need replacing.
Is monitoring secure?
Yes. Monitoring uses read-only, encrypted connections and minimal access. We never collect the content of your data.
Can you monitor our internet providers too?
Yes. We track the performance of each internet line and give you evidence to share with du or e& when they underperform.
How quickly can monitoring be set up?
For most offices, monitoring is live within a few days of signing. Larger or multi-site networks take one to two weeks, including the audit and threshold tuning.
Will we get too many alerts?
No. We tune thresholds during the first weeks so alerts are meaningful, and our engineers filter them. You only hear from us when something needs a decision or has been fixed.
Can you monitor networks you didn't install?
Yes. Most of our monitoring clients came with networks installed by others. We audit and document them first, then start monitoring.
Does monitoring replace our IT AMC?
No, they work together. Monitoring watches the network continuously; an AMC covers maintenance and support for your computers, printers and users. Many clients combine both for complete cover.
Do we keep access to our own network?
Always. You keep full ownership and admin access to your equipment. We document every change and you can see your monitoring dashboards at any time.
Do you monitor networks outside Dubai?
Yes. Monitoring is remote, so we cover sites across the UAE, with on-site engineers dispatched when hands-on work is needed.
