Security systems that work with your IT, not against it

Modern CCTV and access control systems are IT systems. IP cameras, recorders and door controllers all connect to your network, store data, and are accessed from phones and computers. When they’re installed by someone who doesn’t understand networks, problems follow: cameras that slow down the office network, recorders exposed to the internet with default passwords, footage that’s missing when you need it, and access cards nobody can manage.

ITConnect installs CCTV and access control as part of your IT infrastructure. Cameras sit on their own secure network, recorders are protected and monitored, remote viewing is set up safely, and access control links to your staff records. The result is security you can rely on, and a system that doesn’t create new security risks of its own.

We install and maintain systems for offices, warehouses, retail stores, clinics and residential buildings in Dubai and across the UAE, following the requirements of the relevant authorities.

What you get

IP CCTV cameras

HD and 4K indoor and outdoor cameras, chosen for each location: wide views for open areas, detail for entrances and tills, and night vision for car parks and yards.

Network video recording

Network video recorders (NVRs) sized to keep footage for the required retention period, with RAID protection against disk failure.

Remote viewing

Secure live view and playback on phones and computers, without exposing the recorder to the internet.

Access control

Card, PIN, fingerprint or face recognition for doors, with schedules and permissions by person or department.

Time attendance

Readers linked to attendance records and exports to HR and payroll systems.

Secure network design

Cameras and controllers isolated on their own VLAN, default passwords changed, firmware updated and access logged.

What is an access control system?

An access control system decides who can open which doors, and when. Instead of keys, people use cards, fobs, PIN codes, fingerprints, face recognition or mobile credentials. Each door has a reader and an electric lock connected to a controller, and the controller is managed through software.

Access control gives you three big advantages over keys. You can grant or remove access instantly, for example when an employee leaves. You can set schedules, such as allowing cleaning staff in only in the evening. And every entry is logged, so you know who entered the server room or warehouse and when. Many systems also link to time attendance and visitor management.

Which CCTV camera is right for your site?

Camera typeBest for
DomeIndoor offices, shops and corridors; discreet and vandal-resistant
BulletOutdoor walls, car parks and perimeters; visible deterrent
TurretIndoor or outdoor; good night vision with less glare
PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom)Large yards and warehouses where an operator follows activity
Fisheye / 360°Open-plan areas covered by a single camera

Resolution matters, but placement matters more. A 4 MP camera in the right position often shows more useful detail than an 8 MP camera placed badly. We plan cameras around what you need to see: faces at entrances, number plates at gates, transactions at tills.

Maintenance matters

Cameras get dusty, lenses fog, disks in recorders fail and firmware becomes outdated. Many businesses only discover their CCTV wasn’t recording when they need footage. Our maintenance contracts include regular health checks, lens cleaning, recording verification, firmware updates and repairs, so the system works when it matters.

Industries we install for

Offices

Entrances, reception, server rooms and car parks, with access control on main doors and IT rooms.

Warehouses

Perimeter, loading bays, yards and racking aisles, with PTZ cameras for large areas.

Retail

Tills, entrances and stockrooms, viewable centrally across branches.

Clinics

Reception, pharmacies and medicine stores, with access control for restricted areas.

Residential buildings

Lobbies, lifts, car parks and amenities, with resident access cards.

Case study

A retail chain replaced analogue cameras with IP cameras viewable from head office, and added access control to stockrooms.

CCTV & Access Control questions, answered

Which CCTV camera is best for an office?

For most offices, 4–8 MP IP dome cameras indoors and turret or bullet cameras outdoors, recorded to an NVR. We recommend exact models after the survey.

What is an access control system?

A system that controls who can open which doors and when, using cards, PINs or biometrics, and logs every entry.

Do CCTV installations in Dubai need approval?

Many premises do. Dubai’s SIRA sets requirements for CCTV systems and installers. We’ll tell you what applies to your site.

What should I check when comparing CCTV companies in Dubai?

Valid authority approval, warranty, recording retention, network security and maintenance support.

Can I view cameras on my phone?

Yes, securely through the vendor app or a VPN, without exposing the recorder to the internet.

How long is footage kept?

It depends on recorder storage and any requirements for your type of premises. We size storage to meet the required retention.

Can access control link to attendance and payroll?

Yes. Many systems export attendance data to HR and payroll software.

Can you upgrade our old analogue cameras?

Yes. Depending on the existing cabling, we can replace cameras and recorders with IP equipment, or use hybrid recorders to keep some cameras while upgrading in phases.

Do you offer maintenance for systems installed by others?

Yes. We inspect the system, check recording and security settings, and then maintain it under a contract.

Can CCTV and access control work together?

Yes. Door events can be linked to camera footage, so every access attempt has video evidence, and alarms can trigger recording or notifications.
