Help in minutes, not days
Most IT problems don’t need someone at your desk. A software error, a stuck Outlook profile, a VPN that won’t connect, a missing printer, a Microsoft 365 permission or a slow laptop can usually be fixed remotely, often faster than an engineer could drive across Dubai. Yet many businesses still wait hours or days for a technician visit, losing productive time for every problem.
Remote IT support connects a qualified engineer to the user’s device securely over the internet. With the user’s permission, the engineer sees the screen, diagnoses the issue and fixes it while the user watches, or works in the background with no interruption. For staff working from home, client sites or while travelling, remote support is often the only practical option.
ITConnect provides remote IT support services for businesses across the UAE, with onsite engineers available when hands-on work is required. Combined with monitoring and remote management, many issues are detected and fixed before users even notice.

What is remote IT support?
Remote IT support is technical assistance delivered over the internet rather than in person. Using secure remote access software, an engineer can view or control a user’s computer, with permission, to diagnose and fix problems, install software, change settings or guide the user. Remote support also includes management tools that let IT teams monitor devices, push updates and fix issues in the background without interrupting users.
How remote IT support works securely
We use professional, business-grade remote support and remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, not consumer screen-sharing apps. Sessions are encrypted, require user consent for attended support, and are logged with the engineer’s identity and time. Unattended access for maintenance is restricted to managed company devices and protected with multi-factor authentication for our engineers. Access can be revoked instantly. We never ask users to install tools from unsolicited links, and we train staff to recognise remote-support scams.
Remote vs onsite support
| Remote support | Onsite support | |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | Minutes | Travel time required |
| Best for | Software, accounts, settings, cloud apps | Hardware, cabling, new equipment, physical issues |
| Location | Anywhere with internet | At your premises |
| Disruption | Minimal | May need workspace access |
Most of our clients combine both: remote first for speed, onsite when needed. See Onsite IT Engineer

Fixing problems before users notice
The best support request is the one that never happens. Remote monitoring and management lets our engineers watch the health of every managed device: disk space, failed updates, missing antivirus, overheating, failing hard drives, unusual software and expiring certificates. Many issues are fixed silently in the background, such as clearing space, installing patches, restarting stuck services or reapplying security settings. Staff simply experience fewer problems.
Remote IT support for small businesses
Small businesses often can’t justify a full-time IT person, yet depend on technology as much as larger companies. Remote IT support gives them professional help on demand: setting up new laptops and email, keeping devices secure and updated, managing Microsoft 365, troubleshooting problems and advising on purchases. Combined with occasional onsite visits, it provides reliable, predictable IT for teams from a few people upwards.
Supporting hybrid and remote workers
With staff working from home, client sites and abroad, IT needs to follow people, not offices. We set up laptops so they can be managed and secured over the internet, provide secure access to company resources, support home Wi-Fi and printer issues where possible, and replace faulty devices by courier when needed. Everyone gets the same quality of support, wherever they are.
Avoiding remote support scams
Criminals often pretend to be IT support or well-known companies, asking users to install remote access tools. We help protect your staff by using a clear, known support process, never initiating unsolicited remote sessions, and training users to verify any request before granting access. If something looks suspicious, staff contact our helpdesk directly.
Who uses remote IT support
Small and mid-size businesses, companies with hybrid or remote teams, multi-site organisations, businesses with staff travelling across the GCC, and IT teams needing extra capacity.
A remote support session, step by step
A staff member contacts the helpdesk because Outlook keeps crashing. The engineer confirms their identity, asks a few questions and sends a secure session request, which the user accepts. Watching the screen together, the engineer checks recent updates and add-ins, finds a faulty add-in, disables it, repairs the Office installation and tests that Outlook works. They explain what happened, log the fix in the ticket and check whether other users have the same add-in, so the problem can be prevented elsewhere. Total time: often under fifteen minutes.
Choosing a remote IT support provider
Ask which remote tools they use and how sessions are secured and logged. Check response times, support hours and languages. Ask how they handle issues that need onsite work and how quickly an engineer can reach you. Make sure monitoring and patching are included, not just reactive fixes, and request a sample monthly report.
Reporting
Monthly reports show how many issues were resolved remotely, average response and resolution times, common problem categories, device health and security status, and recommendations, giving management visibility of IT without technical detail.
