Good design is how it works, not just how it looks
Users decide within seconds whether an app or website is worth their time. If they can’t find what they need, don’t understand what to do next, or feel the interface is cluttered or slow, they leave, often for a competitor. In business software, poor design costs time every day: extra clicks, mistakes, training and frustration.
Great user experience doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from understanding who the users are, what they’re trying to achieve and what gets in their way, then designing journeys and interfaces that make those tasks simple. Visual design then makes the experience clear, consistent and attractive, reflecting your brand.
ITConnect provides UI/UX design services for mobile apps, websites, web applications and business systems. Our designers research real users, map journeys, create wireframes and clickable prototypes, test them, and produce polished interfaces and design systems that developers can build accurately. Because design and development sit in the same team, what we design is what gets built.

What is UI/UX design?
UX (user experience) design is the process of shaping how a product works for its users: understanding their needs, structuring information, designing journeys and making tasks easy, efficient and satisfying. UI (user interface) design focuses on the visual and interactive layer: layouts, buttons, typography, colours, icons, spacing and micro-interactions. Together, UI/UX design creates digital products that are both easy to use and pleasant to look at.
UI vs UX: what’s the difference?
| UX design | UI design | |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | How it works and how it feels to use | How it looks and how elements behave |
| Questions | Who are the users? What are they trying to do? Where do they struggle? | How should this screen look? Is it clear, consistent and on-brand? |
| Outputs | Research, user flows, site maps, wireframes, prototypes | Visual designs, components, style guides, design systems |
| Measured by | Task success, time on task, conversion, satisfaction | Clarity, consistency, accessibility, brand fit |
A simple analogy: UX is the floor plan of a house, deciding where rooms go and how people move between them; UI is the interior design, choosing finishes, colours and furniture. You need both for a home that works and feels good.

Bilingual and right-to-left design
Designing for Arabic isn’t just translating text. Right-to-left layouts mirror navigation, icons that indicate direction, and reading order. Arabic text often needs different line heights and font choices, and content length varies between languages. Numbers, dates and phone formats must be handled carefully. We design both languages from the start, test them with native speakers, and build design systems that support right-to-left properly, so neither language feels like an afterthought.
Designing for everyone
Accessible design ensures people with visual, motor, hearing or cognitive impairments can use your product, and it improves usability for everyone. We follow WCAG guidelines: sufficient colour contrast, readable text sizes, clear focus states, meaningful labels for screen readers, touch targets large enough for all users, and content that doesn’t rely on colour alone. Accessibility is built into our design systems, so every new screen benefits.
Design systems
A design system is a shared library of components, styles and rules, such as buttons, forms, cards, colours and typography, with guidance on how to use them. It keeps products consistent, speeds up design and development, and makes it easier to add features without visual drift. For organisations with several apps or websites, a design system creates a unified brand experience across all of them.
UX audits
If you already have a product, a UX audit is a fast way to find what’s holding it back. We review key journeys against usability principles and accessibility standards, analyse analytics and support tickets, and produce a prioritised list of improvements with mock-ups for the most important changes. Many quick wins can be implemented without a full redesign.
Choosing a UX design agency
Look for a portfolio showing real product work, not just attractive visuals. Ask how they research users and test designs, how they handle Arabic and right-to-left layouts, and how they work with developers. Make sure you’ll receive editable design files and a design system you own.
Who we design for
Startups shaping new products, enterprises modernising internal systems, e-commerce brands improving conversion, government-related organisations improving digital services, and app owners responding to poor reviews or low engagement.
UX that drives business results
Good UX is measurable. We set success metrics before designing, such as sign-up completion, checkout conversion, task completion time, support tickets or app ratings, and compare them before and after changes. In e-commerce, small improvements to product pages and checkout can lift revenue significantly. In business software, simpler workflows save staff time every day and reduce errors and training effort.
Working closely with developers
Designs often lose quality when handed to developers who weren’t involved. Our designers and developers work in the same team: designs include all states, such as empty, loading, error and success; components map directly to code; spacing and typography are defined as tokens; and designers review builds before release. The result is a product that looks and behaves the way it was designed.
Case study
A UAE fintech redesigned its onboarding flow after usability testing revealed confusion around document upload, and launched a simpler, clearer journey.
UI/UX Design questions, answered
What is UI/UX design?
UX design shapes how a product works for users; UI design shapes how it looks and behaves visually. Together they create easy, attractive products.
What's the difference between UI and UX?
UX is about structure, flow and usability; UI is about visual design and interactive elements.
Why should we invest in UX research?
It prevents building features users don’t need and fixes problems before costly development.
What tools do you use?
Mainly Figma for design and prototyping, plus research and analytics tools.
Can you design for an app another company will build?
Yes. We provide complete designs and specifications for any development team.
Do you design in Arabic?
Yes, with proper right-to-left layouts and testing.
How long does UI/UX design take?
From a few weeks for a focused app to several months for large platforms.
Do we get the design files?
Yes, you receive editable Figma files, assets and the design system.
Can you redesign without rebuilding everything?
Often yes. We can improve key journeys and visuals in phases.
Can you design dashboards and data-heavy screens?
Yes. We design clear dashboards and complex business screens that remain easy to scan and use.
Do you test designs with real users?
Yes. Usability testing with representative users is part of our process, in person or remotely.
Can you design a brand new app from just an idea?
Yes. We start with discovery and research, then move to prototypes you can test and share.
